As much as I have no use whatsoever for a heavy, sluggish f/1.2 lens and LOVE the f/1.4's, ...I will say that it is highly likely Nikon is working on one. Patents have been filed once or twice recently, according to @Nikonrumors.

If you compare an 85 1.2 L and an 85 1.8 USM, especially on anything less than a flagship, the words "heavy" and "sluggish" will certainly come to mind when describing the 85 1.2. Yes, it is a GORGEOUS lens that produces amazing results. It is the king of 85mm shallow depth and bokeh. But for me, it just not an acceptable lens for low-light photjournalism, not on a 5D mk2 etc. I would take a D700 and Nikon 85 1.4 AFS ANY DAY.
