Hi all, I am new to this site and it may have been asked a lot before so if it has I am sorry. How do I print the different size pictures off smugmug without cutting out the frame/border?

If I put a frame/border on my images and upload them, they look fine but when I go through the different option sizes, it will cut off the top or sides, like 4x6 to 8x10. Is there any way around this?

Thanks for all your help!!

yes, when you click buy photo, then it takes you to the different size options, some of the different sizes cut off the border? Is there any way around this?

Select no-crop to print the whole image. This is the only way for odd sizes I can think of.

In the checkout area when you are picking the size of photos you want it will say like 8x10 then underneath that is will say it needs cropping and then show you what it crops out. I guess my question is do I upload different sizes so the border, frame isnt cut off?

If you chose no-crop the whole image will fit with white area added to sides
    where the image doesn't reach.
See Option 2 at the bottom

You cannot upload a photo with a frame built into it and expect it to print at different shapes. You will have to optimize it for one particular image aspect ratio and only offer print sizes that match that aspect ratio. If you really want to offer other aspect ratios, then you will have to prepare a different photo with the frame at that different aspect ratio, upload that as a separate photo to the gallery and enable only the print sizes that match that particular aspect ratio. There is NO elegant way to do this on Smugmug.

They do not let you prepare a 5x7 version, an 8x10 version, an 11x14 version, and so on and have them all associated with the same image so that the appropriate one would automatically be used depending upon what was ordered.

Self fulfillment is probably the best way so you can hand tweak the print to match the order, but the only way to do that on Smugmug now is with something like PayPal ordering.

You could also use proof delay and change the uploaded image to match the size that is ordered every time someone orders, but if they ordered two sizes of the same image, there would be no way to solve that issue (there can be only one master of each print for a given order) and every time you change the upload for proof delay, you're also changing what is displayed in your gallery which is also not something you may want to have happen.
