Dilophus fibrilis?
Not to sure, just checking for an ID, but it is possible that this is a fever fly (Dilophus fibrilis) and it is feeding on the small flowers on our variegated bay laurel.
Around about 7 or 8mm in length, if it is what I think, they are also know as St Mark's flies.
Am I right or wrong?
