Skateboarding out around campus

This was my first time shooting someone skateboarding. Luckily my subject (one of my good friends) happens to be an awesome skateboarder, which made it easy for me to get these shots. One thing I found difficult was keeping the board from blurring when he would flip it. What I did to correct this was take him out in an area that was more exposed to sunlight. (always easier to darken a picture and keep detail, especially when you shoot in RAW).

Hope you enjoy them!

Looks like we're becoming the home of skateboard shots!

Not sure if these are sports or street. Either way number 3 is the best of the bunch, especially with the jet stream above.

At the risk of being picky, I can't help but think that it would be even stronger if the background was sky only and there was a bit more room at between the board and the bottom of the frame.

Thanks guys! And I wasn't sure which category to put these in because a a few of them were taken out in the street :P.

And thanks for the input on the third photo, the reason why I cropped it that way was so that it seemed like a more in your face kind of shot as if he was going to land you on. (which a few times he almost landed on me!)
