This long(ish) exposure shot was taken in Chicago last year. While I was setting up my tripod and getting my camera ready, I noticed this bum slowly making his way towards me. As I notice him coming closer I fumble trying to get my setting just right as fast as I could, so I can take the picture without being hassled. Well as you could have figured from the title, I was unable to make a speedy get away. So I was forced to have to try and get this guy off my case/make sure he doesn't try and jump me, all while I was adjusting my settings to get the light streaks just how I wanted.

Hope you like it!

Too bad the "bum" made your shooting experience uncomfortable. It must have been inconvenient having to rush to set up your camera.

Anyway, IMO, this really doesn't fit Street & PJ, which is largely full of pictures of people (and some bums). It is a picture of a street, but I would try posting in Other Cool Shots. You might get more feedback.

On a positive note, it is interesting that you picked a one-way street. Seeing all white trails instead of the typical red & white is different.

Ah, I was wondering if this was in the wrong spot. Still pretty new to the forum!

No problem with posting it here. It's certainly urban. The exposure is good.thumb.gif It might have been more interesting if you had been able to include the bum in the shot, though. Or some human presence on the sidewalk at the lower right to make the composition less symmetric.
