The cruise to end all cruises...

Long winter... The DW and I decided to go on a short respite in March, ended up being over spring break. A cruise! We sailed on the Radiance of the Seas for 5 days, port visits in Costa Maya and Cozumel Mexico... I spent 20 years in the Navy, on (ships, many long cruises) and was reluctant to go... We booked a room with a balcony on the aft end of the ship... so glad we did.

    Hi, I saw the 1st few shots..looked very nice. it would be helpful to viewers if you posted the image rather then the link to avoid a lot of clicking!

    Costa Maya was hit by a hurricane in 2007... it leveled most everything... the pier and cruise line shopping areas were all new construction, the cruise lines started coming back to the Yucatan in 2009...

    was going to post more pics... but alas smugmug is currently read only :cry

    we ate at an authentic Mexican Restaurant and drank, what the waiter says was authentic Mexican wine... I have my doubts...

    When we got back to Tampa, my Mom picked us up and took us to her place because we had a day to kill before our flight back to DC... My Mom lives on a golf course in Largo with a few ponds and some Florida birds to shoot...

    These last 2 were on the ship, apparently a Florida or Mexican dove decided to be a stowaway and go on the cruise with us...

    We had much fun... and it was good to get away but I don't think Stacey and I will be regular cruisers... :D
