This lens is broken. The AF motor need help when moving from a close to far subject. You have to manually rack in or out to the general focus distance and then it will autofocus normally.

Does not come with front lens cap.

Cosmetically, the lens looks fine and the front/rear elements are in excellent/near perfect condition.
