Keeping track of Andy

Just to help all of us keep track of the complicated life of Andy's I put an event in the forum calendar to mark the date that Andy acquired his 5D so that we can begin the countdown to when he sells his brand new 5D.
So, now that we've established the start date for this venture...when will it end?
Come on, take a stand, post your predictions!

Canon will prolly announce another one around next PMA (mid-Feb 2006), hence, methinks, some time in April - early May 2006? Just before the shootout..:D
i spoke to sid on the phone tonight. he's fine - just busy. he'll be 'round soon enough...

i've said before, that all i wanted to do was try it, and that there might be a chance i return it (that's why i buy from tallyn's, with a 15-day no-hassle returns policy)...
my main decision point will be, do i keep it as a second body to my 1Ds Mark II, or, is it good enough for me to ditch the 1Ds Mark II, and shed some weight/size?

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"
Hey, don't take away our fun.

then again, i could keep it regardless, have it as the go-anywhere full-framey-friend to the 1Ds Mark II.

...Andy will surprise everyone. He will keep the 5D more than a month. In fact, he will keep it all throughout the remainder of 2005. He will do this for two reasons:
• To piss everyone off who might have thought the 5D will turn up on andybay soon.
• He will find no other viable substitute until 2006.
Meanwhile, his IR converted Sony R1 will arrive, and produce stellar results.
Then, sometime very early in 2006, he will sell the 5D to Windoze or myself. Windoze or myself will have second thoughts about the investment/output/quality equation, and then Andy will repurchase the 5D.
But then, there will be a new camera body that will catch Andy's attention. After a few minutes, Andy will stun everyone again and announce he will actually keep the 5D for a while longer (Andy will also buy that other new camera of course).
Then, sometime around the 2006 Shootout, a new panacea will grip the forums. UltraViolet photography. Andy will contact MaxMax about converting the now 9 month old camera to full-time UV - an industry first.
Having conquered traditional, digital, IR and now UV photography, (and following his brief hospitalization for Cherry Ripe and licorice addiction) Andy will discontinue photography altogether. Andy will then suddenly vanish. One semi-cryptic post, left at DPReview, will clue us in on his doings. Andy has traveled to the far east to search his soul and will find a new religion. All camera related items will be sold off at once in andybay, confirming that cryptic message's authenticity.
Months will pass. Much speculation, hundreds of threads and posts about possible Andy sightings somewhere in far away places will circulate the forums. Some will doctor their vacation photos to "prove" that Andy was seen somewhere when he actually wasn't.
Then, one day, unannounced and without much fanfare, Andy will return.
