Tina - An Update!!!

A few weeks ago I asked that the forum keep my daughter in your thoughts and prayers as we awaited some medical tests. What I didn't say was that the Dr had given us a pretty grim outlook. Today we recieved news on the last of the tests and Im relieved to say that so far ALL of the tests have turned up negative!!! The Dr's premature "hunch" was dead wrong.
I know that a Dgrin angel( Heather!!) has been keeping many of you up to date as this has played out. I owe her a big thank you as well as those of you who cared enough to keep her in your thoughts. My family feels blessed to be able to celebrate in this great news this weekend, and our hopes are that soon we will learn what is at the root of Tina's health problems so that we can get her healthy again.
She will return to the Dr next week on Friday to undergo some additional testing for yet another rare disease, but we are confident that this too will be a dead end.
Thank you all....and please continue to keep her in your thoughts and prayers.
...and...I decided to share some photos of her...all of which have graced the boards here at Dgrin at some time of other...

I'm with you on this one. I've been kinda holding my breath as well.
Jeff - this great news. You now know a lot about what isn't the problem. That should make it easier for them to find the real cause of the problems. My wife and I will continue tho hold you and yours in our thoughts and prayers!
Thanks so much for the update!

Awesome on the negative tests!!
We went through the mystery illness thing with my sister about 8 years ago, that wasn't fun. Seeing her 5'9" frame at 89 lbs just made me cringe. Thankfully they figured it out and all is well now!
She's in our thoughts and prayers!

Tina has decided that rather than pushing it to graduate a semester early next fall...she will divide the course work in half and stick it out for her final senior semester. Good for her!!
I cannot tell you how scary this whole experience has been for us. I have a new respect for folks who have gone through similar situations...and worse. Im not quite sure how they cope, but I have a feeling that it is in large part made possible by having friends and family to help support them. Of course my personal beliefs also tell me that God plays an ever important part. What has happened here has only fortified those beliefs for me.
I appreciate all the emails, well wishes, prayers, and support that you guys and gals have given my family over the past weeks. I apologize for not answering ALL of the emails...and hope you understand.....yet I REALLY appreciated that you took the time to let me know that you were "in my corner" and sending positive energy to my daughter....and the rest of us.
Thanks so much.....
Jeff

Natural selection is responsible for every living thing that exists.
D3s, D500, D5300, and way more glass than the wife knows about.
