Some Canal Basin UWA Perspectives

A 25 minute walk from where I live is a lovely, old, Victorian era Canal basin. I made a couple of visits, first with a general zoom and then a couple of days later with my UWA lens:

Now, you might just have noticed a certain not so old building that appears in a lot of these photos. It is the Beetham Tower, and it is Manchester's first and only (now, no laughing if you're from NYC or Chicago) sky scraper at 52 floors and it dominates the local skyline. The architecture seems to have put a lot of thought into how it reflects the light at different times of the day, which can make the photography interesting.
