Not something I really thought I would ever do but one of my wedding couples really wanted me to shoot some maternity shots for them. So glad I have a female assistant, she was a major help on this shoot. So for my first try I think these came out ok....really just an engagement shoot but making sure to include the tummy.
I tried to come up with some unique shots...that haven't been done to death.

Ok so maternity isn't my thing haha.

Somebody told me later that maternity shots are mostly supposed to be shots of the pregnant person...who knew ?

You've had some interesting locations Zoomer but he third one and the others in the gallery that look similar probably aren't the best location you've had. The quality is there though and you have to love someone willing to be photographed in those socks!

After looking through the gallery, I like the color images much better than the B&W, wayyy better. The ones you selected to post were not as great as some in the gallery IMHO. I just did my first real maternity session as well.

haha..techincally they are great but the posing is just killing me. maybe you can convince her to put on some lingerie and get your creative juices flowing!

Well the posing is kind of tongue in cheek for the most part. That first shot we were laughing SO hard at his socks, you kind of have to know the couple to get it, they are silly fun.
I think if I ever do another one of these I will just shoot the pregnant person.....it's a journey .
