Link to catagory page not working

I have a category containing several "unlisted" galleries, so a thumbnail for the category doesn't display on my SmugMug homepage. I can share an email link to any of the galleries within the catagory. However, I can't seem to find a way to obtain a working link to the catagory page itself, so that an email recipient can click on gallery thumbnails displayed on the page. There's no link sharing feature for categories like there is for galleries, so I just copied the address displayed in my browser, but the link in an email doesn't work once I log off of SmugMug.

The only way I've been able to make it work is to change the galleries from "unlisted" to "public". Is there a way keep the galleries "unlisted" and have a working email link to the catagory page of displayed gallery thumbnails?

Unlisted means it is not shown to anyone other than the site owner without a direct URL to the gallery. So you can't give someone a link to a category and expect them to see unlisted galleries.

Maybe a share group would meet your needs. Take a look at the help page http://www.smugmug.com/help/share-groups.

Thanks for your suggestion Denise. The sharegroup feature worked. I put the galleries in a sharegroup, which allows them to still be unlisted, and to be linked in an email.
