    What a way for a Photography student (who captured that image) to start his career.

    I think it's amazing and the caption is most appropriate.

    I think the reason I don't find it disturbing is because all of what disturbs me (context of the jump, blood, guts, etc) is missing from the picture. It really is beautiful.

    Disturbing? yes. Amazing? yes. The woman has a peaceful expression as if she found what she was looking for... Strong image for sure.

    I've got an approach/avoidance thing with this. I can't not look but it is disturbing. Can you imagine her poor fiance opening Life to find this reminder of his loss?

    Well, it might have been - but good luck finding anything more about or by him. His photo "career" appears to have ended with this photo.

    Which proves one of my observations, that most photographs are self-portraits.

    Why would his photograhpy career end, Why then be a photographer when you can't show true reality or Expressions of free will.
