Came across a small protest march in Melbourne over the weekend. I figured I needed some practice.

One thing that's missing for me is a wide shot that gives a sense of how many people were demonstrating.

#3 and #5 are my favorites for the same reason: the angle and only partial views of the sign. They do a great job of telling a story without asking me to take in too much & find the story. I am with Richard and would like to see a shot that gives a feel for how large the protest is. Are we looking at a dozen people protesting, or hundreds?

Thanks for the comments guys. It was a small group, maybe around thirty people and certainly no more than fifty. I've added a couple wider shots to my smugmug account that might help with the scale. I was really going for the angles and perspectives. As I said, practice for getting in close. Protesters can't really complain too much about having their pictures taken in public places.

Like #1 IF you crop to the edge of the sign (removing their heads, but keeping the silhouettes on the sign).
