Replacing Kit Lens (18-55IS) With????/

Hi all, I'm wanting to replace my kit 18-55 for my 7D. Been looking really close at a refurbished 24-105L IS USM from Canon Direct and the Sigma 17-50 w/OS from Adorama. I love the "L"; but, I also am found of the Sigma's 2.8 aperture. ANY thots would sure be appreciated. Most of my photos are landscape and wildlife. BTW, I've had a really good buying experiences from both Canon direct(refurbished 7D) and Adorama...cannot say enuf good about both. Please help!

    Thanx Nick. I'm thinking of going FF maybe in the future, which is y i'm considering the 24-105.

    I am also considering FF in addition to my 7D but would keep my EF-S 17-55mm anyway. I use the wide end of it so often that 24mm would be too limiting, forcing me to carry a 12-24mm all the time. I like some overlap.

    The 24-105L I might buy when I buy the FF, or I just concentrate on the wide end which would be 80% of the reason for buying FF for me anyway. The 17-40mm or 16-35mm are the other lenses in the picture for that plan. I also have 70-200L and 100L macro lenses that influence my choices.
