Rights: when hiried by a media company to shoot musicians at a concert/ venue what are they likely to ask me to sign regarding rights, etc.?
Quality: I would like to get as many photos as possible on my 1 GB and 512 CF cards. What setting will be me a sufficiant file size. I using the 20d.
The options on the 20d show as L M or S + raw.
I picked up the lenses and practiced shooting, I think I know enough to proceed with some good shots thanks to all the help and information I received. I am worried about carrying around the 70-200 2.8 for 4-5 hours.

I'm sure many here can offer more, and better answers than I, but what the heck, I'll give it a go.
As to image size, what do they want the images for? If they want to print up some large banners, then you need the largest, and best quality you can get, RAW.
If your good at setting up white balance for the dim concert invronment, and if they only want photos for online use, you could probably even get away with small. I would practice with your camera and try different parameters so you know what to expect.
You can expect to get close to 160 photos taken in RAW.
As to the contract..................that is really up to you and them.
Good luck!

I typically use a monopod with my 70-200 especially if I'm going to be shooting in low light and for that many hours.
Regarding your contract, are you being hired for a day rate? Are you maintaining the copyright to all the photos? Not sure what your arrangement is from a contract standpoint. If you can tell us more, I'm sure you might find more answers.
Good luck.
