First "official" (baby) shot in my new studio
As some of you know, we moved a couple months ago ... As much as it stinks to lose all of your clients, I figured I better make *something* good out of it and build some studio skills (which is something new to this natural-light photographer). So I bought some alienbees & big softboxes, and boy did I enjoy my first real shoot ... got everything nicely in focus, and did not have to worry about the weather or lack of light for once ... I could almost get used to it
Photos posted below are actually very close to the RAWs, I only made some little adjustments
c&c welcome :wave

(Shooting babies is like playing roulette sometimes )
Did you happen to test that paint on the floor for lead? Just sayin.....

Are those the Lemondrop backgrounds/floors? I was just looking at those, and then saw this post! (If so - do you like them?)
Oh .... glad you didn't notice, but it's not a "real" wood floor
Diva - nope, got the floor second hand and the backdrops from: Photo Prop Floors and Backdrops. Hmmm ... like one of them, 2 I don't ... they have a weird flair going because of the material ... but you can touch that up in PP I guess.

Not challenging science, but I always wonder how we ever survived the early part of the century where virtually all paint had lead as a component.
Einstein surely slept in a crib with lead paint.
I know I did and it ain't defected me interlect none that I can sees. just saying.

I do always wonder about stuff like that just because all it takes is one frivolous lawsuit by some idiot to ruin your business. Crazy days!

love the eyes.
Hopefully, this is helpful feedback. I found the baseboard to be a little distracting in some of the shots. On #2, she seems to get a little lost in the background.
Thank you soooooooo much for posting that link, I was mesmerized by the wonderful backdrops and floors.... spent about 2 hours there !!!
