Logo Help

I am trying to get this logo to be transparent. I want all the black stuff to be transparent.

The background is a simple layer filled in black so I had a contrasting colour to work with. I made the eye in a separate file and copied it my logo.

My biggest issue is that the eye is black on top of the rest of the P which is white. So the eye is not a hole through the P. So now I am trying to figure out how to make the eye a hole in the P.
Short of redoing the eye as a subtraction shape on the P I am at a loss. I really do not want to redo my eye and I honestly don't think I could do it again without making them separate shapes and using free form transform to place and tweak them.

So, help....

Forgot I should mention that I am using PS CS5.

I'm using CS2, so I copied your logo, used the 'Magic Wand Tool' @ '10' and clicked on the white portion. Then click 'Ctrl/Shift/I' to get the inverse (black). Hit delete, that removes the black background and gives you a transparent background. You may have a slight gray border around your white logo now. Click 'Ctrl' on your white logo layer and make a new layer and paste a "fresh" white (or another color) in place of the original logo.

Hope this makes sense...!

Or use Illustrator the next time...!

I know I can select the vector masks as selections and go that route. or magic wand like you did and so on.

I want to be able to keep the image as wholly vectors though. There lies my problem.

Sorry if I was not clear in that.

I think so. I'm more familiar with Illustrator when it comes to vectors than Photoshop.
