I took delivery of my new and 1st ever DSLR the other day, also the Sigma 24-70mm F2.8 EX DG Macro lens as my first lens purchase. Being this the first experience with interchangeable lenses I have a minor problem/Question:

When I hold the lens up and look into it I can see 2x very small pieces of black (looks like plastic). I have checked and re-checked and can not see anything on either end of the glass, so it looks internal. :scratch After taking a few test shots I can't see anything appearing on the pic's.

Should I return the lens, will this cause me problems at a later date? Is there anything I can do to further test the lens?

Where are the bits you see? It's entirely possible that what you are seeing is
magnified by the lens and presents no problem at all.

That you don't see anything in the images leads me to believe it's not a
    problem too.
