Soar Key West

Early this morning after a big breakfast we sat out to do some exploring at the <a href="http://www.keywestinternationalairport.com/">Key West International Airport</a>, for the "<a href="http://www.facebook.com/pages/SOAR-Key-West/128156887247728?v=wall">Soar Key West</a>" event.

After the quick ride over, I see someone took my parking spot!

Members of the <a href="http://www.eaa.org/about/">EAA</a&gt; was onhand to sign up children for rides in Helicopters and Planes.

After signing up, the kids were taken out to the helicopter, then got a personal tour of a small portion of the Florida Keys.

Even if you had children that weren't ready to fly there was something for everyone. Gigantic inflatable play areas....

It was a great morning in the Florida Keys, that happened in the air this time instead of in, or under the water! What would an event be, without some type of "Conch Cruiser"?

    Nice images...

    We just got back from Key West...stayed in the Best Western at the end of the runway...there was a vintage looking seaplane flying in and out of the airport...tried to get a closeup of it as it took off...but, never timed it right.

    What a great place to visit. We travel to Florida every year and usually to Key West. Lots of photo opportunities.

    Thanks for sharing...I'll post some of mine when I get time...been so busy since we got back, just haven't had the time. Hopefully in the near future.
    Remember, no one may want you to take pictures, but they all want to see them.
