We had such a beautiful sunset on Sat. night. With the fields still full of water from overland flooding I had to head out and grab some photos.

1 -- Flooded field just north of Fargo.

2 -- This is a drainage ditch leading to the river. Usually its very narrow. Now it's way out of it's banks and covering fields.

4 -- Ditch Ducks as I call them :D

Love the colors with the silhouettes Mary. I'd have to agree with Richard too, #4 is my favorite.

I like that one too. Seems more natural, but the first 3 -- that's the color they were.

Sunsets are really perplexing me. I've been watching them for over a year now - not photographing many - ND can really have some vibrant sunsets. Almost have to desat them. Never was much into photographing them because they seemed so 'out of the norm'.

Thank you ... I was hoping someone would love a ND sunset :D The last photo of the ditch ducks that people so far seem to like was taken in MN.

Thank you :D I waited awhile for number 3. I found that the birds liked to land where there sun was hitting the water .. just where they landed within it was the challenge.
