Art Deco Themed shots at the library
I wanted to do an Art Deco themed shoot so I went with Iza to the Central Library in downtown Los Angeles, which is a very nice Art Deco building. We started a bit too early around 4PM and the sun was still a bit too harsh. The FlashBender that I just got and wanted to try out really diffuses the light which means that the light no longer reaches as far and I ended up using a bare flash or a sto fen diffuser much more than the flash bender. The building exterior and the dress seemed to be very similar colored which I think hurt here.
Anyway...
1. opening shot in front of the enterance
2.
3. Even shot a little inside, checking out the Dewey Decimal system here.
4.
5. South of the library where the view opens up a bit.
6.
7.
8. Nice green door.

Oh - but if you like the background ... how about a b&w treatment? (I'd try a vintage one) - that might be cool!
I do have one or two in b/w from the day.
