Senior Night - Baseball Posters

We played our last high school home game, Senior Night, and I wanted to give the kids something to remember their days on the diamond. Most of these kids have known each other since they played T-Ball.

I used Photoshop Elements 9 and Corel Painter 11 and some loud colors trying to emulate the great sport painter LeRoy Neiman.

I had them printed at 16" x 24" on lithograph style paper.

I am new at using the Painter program, I just got it this past Xmas.

We have lost a lot of games this year, and we lost again on Senior Night, but my boy Patrick hit his 3rd Home Run of the season, a grand slam :barb

I'm going to have to give this a go.

Any way you can post a few of the original photos?

Very cool!! I was with my son at the orthopedist's office yesterday and he has a bunch of Leroy Neiman prints. I hadn't read your text before looking at your photos and I was like "Wow, this looks like Leroy Neiman". Great idea, I'm sure the players will love them.

Those are spectacular. I'll bet the boys and their parents loved them.

Wish I had thought of something similar for my boys senior year in hockey.

    Way to go DAD!!!

Love these! How nice of you to do this for the kids.
    Thanks for sharing!
We're just starting our high school season and have been rained out on gamedays--haven't played 2 weeks!
They're starting to schedule double headers. I think they need to bite the bullet and start playing on Saturdays and/or Wednesdays. It's going to be a lot of work for young pitching arms!

We have our last 2 games to play tomorrow and Saturday. My boy has played baseball spring, summer, and fall since he was 4 years old.
He has played Rec. ball, All Stars, Travel Ball, Middle School, & High School.

He plans to major in computer science in college and doesn't want sports to interfere with his studies.

I wonder what I will do without baseball ne_nau.gif

Good thing I have a hobby :photo: :D

Same here & I miss it terribly! DS is a jr in college and decided not to play ball this year, as his schedule has more core classes in his major (more work for class & time required!). And kudos to those collegiate student athletes!!! It is a LOT of work for them, catching up from missed instructional time and assignments.

I get my baseball fix watching him play amateur (town team) league baseball during the summer! But this could be the last season for that, as (hopefully!) he'll find a job, following graduation.
I still enjoy covering the local high school sports, but it is a little different when you don't have a child directly involved in the sport.
