The Painted Bunting is one of my favorite birds for obvious reasons. I wish I could get a good shot away from the feeder... Unfortunately my camera kung fu is weak. I am slow, he is fleet. He moves quick and stays hidden.





I'm getting quite a collection of yard shots; cardinals and a variety of sparrows and tit mouse..meese?:scratch Finches as well.

Might I suggest a perch of some kind. I have found that birds like to land close to the feeder to check thinks out before hitting the feeder directly. I have a nice tree branch wired to me deck railing all winter long just for shooting birds.
