Heres one of about 600 that I got last weekend at the track. It was the first elimination event of our race season up here. I missed the focus a bit, I was about 3 feet from the car and it wasnt waitin for me to get a good shot.

    Thanks every one!

Maybe 4 feet lol. Ill try to find a shot lookin down the track. This was at the section of wall closest to the cars, and I was leaning over it a fair amount.

    well........what lens were you using???

    nice shot......but I like a angle shot better....includes the front.....gives dimension better

This was shot with 70-200 at about 140mm

Would like to see some more of the 600 shots......... clap.gif

Lol, I forgot to put up a down track shot. I still gotta dig one up.

I was using my 17-55mm. I agree with the shots from the front of the car lookin better. I was standing where I was to get burnout pictures, but lucked out on this one. I have a few in a similar position, using my 70-200 as well lol.

Here are a few more that Ive got uploaded. The rest havent made it to the net yet lol.

I'm thinking you mean 3 Meters not feet, I would say you are at least 10 feet from the car in the first shot, if not a bit further.

Anyway, drag racing looks best, head on at ground level or side on but at more of an angle and a lower angle. The second two from up high don't do it for me, they look like spectator photos, no offense intended. Just my opinion.

Lol, the lane isnt much wider than 10 feet. I was definitely closer than that.

The second 2 were spectator shots lol. Not the best view point, but I still like the pictures.

Another event tomorrow, Ill be tryin to shoot a little further down track, from wall level. Unfortunately, my D7000 still isnt repaired, so Ill be using my D5000.
