Has anybody worked with the Canon 24mm 3.5 Mark II tilt shift AND the Nikon 24mm 3.5 tilt shift lenses?

Which one is better? I see a lot of good reviews on both but I haven't seen anybody who used both of them and can tell me whether the Nikon is as good or better than the Canon....?

If you are a Nikon shooter I suspect that you would only appreciate the Nikkor 24mm, f3.5 PC-E ED (since the Canon lens won't even mount).

If you are a Canon shooter it's true that you can use the Nikon 24mmPC via a simple adapter, but you might better appreciate the Canon TS-E 24mm, f3.5L II just because it has a native Canon mount.

Optically I don't think you will find a major difference; they are both superlative in optic quality.

Controls are also pretty similar between the 2. The Canon has "TS Rotation" to allow the angular relationship between tilt and shift to change at will. I don't believe that the Nikon 24mmPC has this capability, although you can send it to Nikon to adjust the angular relationship between tilt and shift.

Nikon users should use the Nikkor version, no real choice in the matter. Canon users have a choice but, for reasons I have indicated, the Canon TS-E 24mm, f3.5L II is just an excellent choice to make.
