Honestly I had no time to think about the colors when I took the photo, the kid was changing position and place quite quickly, I just framed and took few pictures to get a good sharp one... but you're right, he could not be better dressed !!!
Yeah, I think B&W works. I had a play earlier, and in my version I must have had the sliders in the B&W adjustment a little different - I made the shirt darker in mine. But it works equally well. I could post it, but I'm not suggesting it is any better than yours.

Nice.
Feel free to post, I'm curious to see the difference, as on my version I intentionally tried to tonally separate the shirt and jeans...
The shot also works in B&W because the pose is so classic. But if forced to pick only one, I would stick with the color version. Color candids are harder than B&W, IMO, but this one came together so well that it seems a shame to waste.
Juano, Richard, thank you very much for looking and for your support. I also prefer the color version, as that was my idea at the time of taking the shot...

I can't also believe your very keen sense of observation, Richard. +1 to both of you. Nice shot, Andrea. thumbclap

Considered a mono, too? Looks nice...
I was also thinking about a BW conversion... here is a first attempt, any suggestion and comment is welcome as usual!

Here we go...I attempted to separate the shirt, hat and water...so we were thinking on the same lines.
