Hope I'm not being to big of a pest here.
My boy wanted some wallets to pass out at school being as his senior year is winding down. Using the tutelage of Hackbone and Jeffreaux I was able to get this from a shoot outside our home Tuesday evening.
Our family is split down the middle on which treatment to use. The "boy" likes them both and is fine with either one. It pretty much boils down to Mom likes one and I like the other.
You decide! PLEASE!
I promise not to pass your name on to my Sicilian wife if you don't pick hers!:D

Both are a little soft for me.
That's my 2 cents worth.

Thanks for pointing that out Sam. I uploaded the wrong image on the one and forgot to tweak the reduced sized images for sharpness.
I'll throw this in the mix as the correct number 2 to get an honest result.

(the color was throwing me off in the older version)
, don't count on it... after 20 + years, I still sleep with one eye open.
Thanks for the input all!

But B&W might be even better than Sepia...
Just sayin'
Despite the high cost of living, it remains popular.
Why do people post their equipment in their sig. Isn't it kind of like bragging? That having been said...
Canon 40d Gripped (x2), Rebel (Original), Canon 70-200 f/2.8 USM L, Canon 300 f/4, Tamron 28-75 f/2.8, Canon 50mm f/1.8, Canon 17-55 f/3.5-5.6, ThinkTank Airport TakeOff

To me, the first one is a very nice portrait of your son, and... the second one is just another sepia-textured photo. The processing is dominating the image rather than complimenting it.

2 looks better if it is not sitting by 1.

If you don't hear from me for a few days, you'll know mom didn't take the news well!:D
Thanks again for the input!
I like it, but think he looks too hard, which is not his natural look. I also don't care for the white blotches created behind his head by the walkway stones. They don't seem to be as distracting in color.
I had wanted to get a shot of him that showed the gold cross I gave him on his first communion anyway, so a different shirt and slightly different location and I do like this black and white a lot. Even the blown highlights created by the sun behind him in the white shirt work for me.
Thoughts?
