"My Menu" is grayed out

I have a new D700 and when I press the menu button, the "My Menu" icon is grayed out. How can I create my custom "My Menu"? Hope I have not over looked something so simple I cannot see it :-)!

    Switch it out of Auto mode? I don't shoot Nikon, so that's just a guess.

    Are you sure (sorry) it's not the "Retouch" menu that's greyed out? I can't replicate the condition you describe with the "My Menu" tab. headscratch.gif

    You are correct! It is the retouch menu that was gray out because I had the WB set to Auto. Now to re-read the manual and learn how to create My Menu.
