It's hard to classify most of my sets because I typically categorize by lens rather than subject matter. I'm not really into photography in the same way most people are. I think I'm what is known as a gear-head. I buy ancient (legacy) lenses I haven't tried before and then test it as if I were some kinda equipment reviewer or something. first test charts then I go for a walk and test it out with the aperture set wide-ish. If that's awesome enough I'll also see where diffusion sets in by going for another walk shooting stuff with the aperture closed down-ish. After that I usually sell it and buy a few more to try. So far (in about 8 months now) I've been through about 280 lenses and have about 100 in my cabinet not yet sold or not yet tried.
Recently I came across a rather weird one: The Rodagon 105mm f/5.6 lens on a bellows for focusing. With the bellows fully contracted it's just a tad past infinity and with it extended fully (20cm) it looks a little higher power than 1:1 but pretty close - like maybe 1.2x or something. It has a switch that allows one to adjust the aperture stoplessly or with tactile stops. I discovered that I actually like focusing on moving objects with a rack&pinion knob. It's fun! Anyway, here are the images:
100% crop of a bubble floating across a lake in the wind at f/5.6 (Camera: GH1)
f/5.6 60% crop (Camera: GH1)
Some folks enjoying the cherry blossoms at f/11 (Camera: GH1)
Cherry blossom at about F/6.5 (Camera: GH1)
Cherry blossom a little closer up also at about F/6.5 (Camera: GH1)
The Sun thru a steeple thingy at f/32 (hmmm, no sun-streaks...) (Camera: GH1)
F/8.0 (about) (Camera: GH1)
Be sure and let me know what you think.
