Nomada bee

This was a case of one thing leads to another- spotted some small mating flies on the underside of a magnolia leaf above my head and just as I finished shooting them, noticed a small shieldbug on the underside of another leaf but with a shadow of another bug on top of the leaf. I Bent the leaf down and there was a cold nomada bee on the top. So I gently pinched the leaf off and placed it on a nearby sun chair and had a great session with the nomada bee where I eventually let it walk onto my hand to warm up and then it flew off. Having finished with the bee, I turned the leaf over and the shielbug was still waiting patiently to be photographed

good looking bees but a pain to shoot, they rarely sit still for very long!
