In the Ansel Adams tradition
Looks marvelous, in the finest Ansel Adams tradition for Yosemite Valley.

On the right is a mislabeled 4 mile trail, which felt like more than 8 miles round trip to Glacier Point and back. It provided me with an injury one year, but my best Yosemite photos making it to the top on a second try.

Here is a still of Half Dome from the area of Glacier Point.

I really like this image as well, perfect B/W conversion. In a perfect world I might try one additional step and that would be to darken say the upper 1/3 portion of the sky, just so you have some balance with the rest of the image. Plus it helps keep the eye circulating in the frame. Nice job as is though.

It used to be a 4-Mile Trial up to Glacier Point, but it was re-routed years ago, but they kept the name.

Nice conversion, btw.

Thanks for the tip, Doug! I just did a little experimenting with some gradients, and it's definitely an improvement.

Thanks for the comments, everybody. This photo was taken from the Upper Yosemite Fall Trail. My wife and I never made it up to Glacier Point. We hiked part of the the Four Mile Trail the day before, but the upper section was still closed for the season. I guess we'll just have to go back again sometime...
