Herons and Osprey
A few weeks ago a newly-made friend over at Nikon-Cafe was gracious enough to take me out on his boat to find some birds. This isn't something I'd ever really done before so I was kind of learning as I went.
Anyway, here's the goods. C&C appreciated. These were all taken with my D7000 and either the 70-300VR or the 300 f/4 with 1.3 TC.
1/2500, f /7.1, ISO 640
1/4000, f/8, ISO 1000
1/2500, f/8, ISO 1000
1/2500, f/8, ISO 800
1/2500, f/8, ISO 800
1/2000, f/8, ISO 800
1/2000, f/8, ISO 800

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

Also, I'll see if I can give the bird in #1 somewhere to go. It shouldn't be difficult.
