Hello,

A lot of people on other forums have put this lens down quite a bit. While it does have limitations (I usually shoot around f8), I feel it's pretty sharp even at full zoom.
Took these at the Philadelphia Zoo today. Comments welcome.
Regards,
Kevin

Nice shots, you did a good job of keeping them natural. They do not look like "zoo" shots.

    hey Kevin,

Normally I'm not a fan of zoo shots but these are excellent. clap.gif

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

Thanks Harry, and everyone. This was at the Philadelphia Zoo, supposedly the oldest zoo in the country.
I'm not a big fan of zoo shots generally either, but it was such a beautiful day and I really wanted to test out this lens some more, since I've been on the fence about getting rid of it, and getting the 70-200 f4 L. Everyone says it's much better, but I think I'll keep the one I have for now and practice a bit.
    Thanks,
    Kevin

Nice shots. I like the first one best. You've captured a neat expression in the Gorilla's face.

Well done Kevin - what you've done is to show that you don't always need L-glass to get the job done mwink.gif

    Thanks everyone.
I think the lens definitely has a few more miles in it, for me at least!

    Kevin
