I don't usually shoot babies so a friend of mine basically volunteered her tyke when I told her I wouldn't mind trying... how did I do?? (feel free to administer c&c as you deem necessary!)

I like #1 but it is overexposed on my computer.

I like #8 except you missed focus on his eyes.

Love #9 - that expression is awesome.

Is #1 really overexposed? Do you mean where his hair is or his face? I just got lightroom 3 so I could read the raw files from my new D7k and I wasn't sure how much different it'd be vs. PS CS3.

#8, I know but he looks so happy, I couldn't chuck the picture lol. Definitely something to watch next time! Thanks!

#9, He had so many expressions I was dying laughing at times. He looks like a grumpy old man in that baby sized easy chair :D

#4 is my favorite of the bunch. I'd buy that and I don't even know the child. That pose is one that should stay in your arsenal.

What would make it just a smidge better to me, is if the bucket handle was at about the 10:30 position so it wasn't coming from behind his head. The 10:30 placement would also fill that bit of a void in that area of the photograph.

Thanks!! I didn't notice how annoying the handle was until I started editing. It was in the way of a number of pics but this one was definitely a keeper regardless thumb.gif

After looking at it again today I will retract the "overexposed" comment. It is blown out on his hair but that is to be expected. I think the overall picture is just a bit too bright but may be my monitor or just preference. I do like the interaction and moment though. Maybe a crop on the right to the middle of his forearm instead of a cut off hand with a thumb showing.

I brought up the brightness like I did with #5. I'm not sure why I like processing like that sometimes ne_nau.gif

Good call on his thumb. I didn't notice that before. Maybe I'll change it later thumb.gif
