Nice! Good capture of the shell exiting the barrel.

Glad I'm not on the other end of this. :D

    Thank you for your service.

Firstly and foremost...thank You! I love the PP...if you did anything. But the scene itself is excellant in my opinion! I an see the excitement but i have to say that the last one looks like miniature army men!

Thank you soldier. I'm guessing not too many people in this country have both an ACM and a NAM. BZ. bowdown.gif

Nice shots. Lighting on the first image with all the dust is cool.

Out of curiosity what's the muzzle velocity of that projectile, what shutter speed did you use and how many shoots did it take for you succeed?

Sam and Nick, y'all ought to go to his Flickr page. He's caught quite a few projectiles. Looks like he's had a LOT of practice. Exif is available too I think.
Oh, and Sam, he has a Teddy Bear.

Thanks for your service young man! Excellent photos. How did you keep your camera gear clean in the sand box? That super fine dust gets everywhere?

The M777 155mm howitzer, depending on the munitions in use, can reach out and touch (within a 5 metre circle of accuracy) anything in a 2000 sq mi area. Be afraid, be very afraid.

Sorry everyone I've been in the field for the past week. Thank you everyone for the comments.
Eia- thank you, I try to not go over board on my PP. 1 and 2 are slight HDRs.
Sam- I couldn't tell you the muzzle velocity, but for the 3rd picture it took me 3 tries to get it just how I wanted it.
FlyNavy- Oh trust me, it was very challenging to keep my gear clean. In fact I can still find dust sometimes in my bad or around my gear. I've since started using my 1d3 so my 1d2 and 1d are just sitting here waiting to be sent in for a cleaning.
Icebear- I dont know too many people that have both an ACM and NAM so I am pretty proud of it.

And one more thing, the last picture actually took 3rd place for the Ft. Sill picture of the year(2010) Thanks again everyone, I appreciate the comments and the welcome to the site. Hope to contribute and learn a bunch from here!
