When the Light is Right..............

I was at my wife's sister's house this weekend and when I walked into this room early this morning I just knew I had to try and grab a couple of shots of somebody because the light coming in from the sunrise was so nice. I was able to get my 5 Y.O. Leah to come in, but she only lasted about 5 minutes before she said "this is boring, Daddy" and ran out of the room. Here are two shots that was able to get before she split........Thanks for looking, comments welcome.

Great Light & What a pretty kid! Next time, grab the cereal and bring it into the room with you! Nothing works like a bribe!

lol - I get that with my kids :)
The other issue is them wanting to see the shots straight away, they run the "the spot", turn, smile and pose all in .0002 of a second, then run back to see the shot ...... that I didn't get time to take!
Nice pics and love the light, well done.
If at first you don't succeed - maybe sky diving isn't for you.

These are the kinds of pictures I'm dying to be able to take! They are so beautiful, crisp, and vibrant. I love, love, love them! Nice work! BTW, I have a 6 year old (who is a PITA when it comes to this stuff) and I know that getting two nice shots like that is nearly impossible. :) Did you use a flash or reflector, or did you shoot purely off of natural light?

They're both excellent. Lighting is fantastic. I really like the door in the background on #2. Well done.

We had donut holes, but I didn't think of using them as a bribe......I'll have to remember that next time.

No flash or reflectors. Just a large window directly behind me......

#2 is just great. I even like the rather heavy vignette.

Wow, she is just absolutely gorgeous. Her freckles are perfect and everything about these images are amazing. I agree that #2 is my favorite.
