weekend captures

friday i decided to get a 1.4 TC to mount on my 300mm AFS
gave it a whirl soon as i got home

today i took it out to find some birds in my back yard and almost walked right into this guy, the 300 + TC turned out to be too much for as close as i got

    very nice shots!
    i've thought about getting either the 1.4x or 2x to use with my canon 100-400L is usm but being 4.5-5.6 to begin with i thought the loss in stops (light) would make it not worth the investment, wish i had the cash to get a good 800 mm low light lens...

    Lovely shots, Brian. First photo takes the cake for me. Nice choice of subject and the bokeh is superb. Keep it up!

    Good set Brian. The 300mm with teh 1.4 TC is one of my favorte tools for willdife captures.
