Gallery Organization

I've gone through a lot of threads..found several that I thought would help..only to get into such deep coding issues....I was lost quickly.

Here is what my "needs" are and seeking guide lines on how to obtain:

I have my main galleries....sub categories
In several sub categories..I have now a huge amount of sub galleries.

I have need to create out of all the sub galleries separation by "year" to speed up the visitors search.

Something like this

Gallery
sub category sub category sub category
gallery gallery gallery
year year year year year year year year


AND......I'm web site creator challenged....... :scratch


Can someone give me a clue how to achieve??

You have 3 levels of organization available to you.

Categories contain galleries and optionally subcategories.
Subcategories contain galleries.
Galleries contain photos.

If you need more levels than that then you might consider using more categories than you were planning to use. Or, using your example above - within a category define a subcategory representing the year. Within the year subcategory, add galleries.
