Recently took the old rangefinder camera and a roll of bw film along on a couple trips. It had been years since I have shot film and I was interested to see what I would come back with. The film was more than 7 years old and the camera battery ended up being dead which means I shot without the use of a light meter.

Here are a few of the shots I ended up with. Let me know your thoughts.

I like 'em. Still seems to be things that film does that nothing else can.

Very nice set Aaron. I don't believe I've ever seen Antelope in B/W, you have some strong images there.

Awesome! You really can't beat the dynamic range of film, at least not without a lot of work. :D

How do you like the Canon AE-1? I have a Soviet Leica copy that I like a lot, but I am eyeing an AE-1 that my local camera shop has in stock.

Thanks everyone. It was fun to shoot film again and since I still have a few rolls of film left I figure I will do a little more.

Stephanie- I like the AE-1. It was actually my entry into photography. I bought it and a 50mm lens at a pawn shop in Prescott AZ for $50 and taught myself b&w film.

I also have an Canon AV-1 and in the past have eyed several classic cameras, medium format, and even building a field camera. Shooting off the rest of the film I have will probably get me looking again. 11doh.gif
