Bonking Bees!

Hard to get cos they were under a plant, but surprisingly, I spotted these two bees having what appears to be, a bonk!

are they miner bees? quite rare to see mating bees. i did see a pair of bumbles last year

Not sure Phil - the only other shot I got was out of focus as I tried to grab it as I knelt down as I spotted them inside the rosette of a London's Pride plant. I'll edit it and see if that helps.

well spotted and good captures Paul - not sure if they are mason bees (eg Osmia sp) or miner bees (Andrena sp).
