Here are a few ducks in the pond that are flapping their wings. Good to see that the Wood Ducks are back.

Nice work Dennis, these are all great, but I really love #2. The birds reflection in the swirling water looks awesome, as is the water droplets falling from the tips of the wings.

Thanks very much Mike and glad that you enjoyed these images, and also agree with your comment on #2 all for the same reasons as well. Thanks again.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

Thanks very much Pear, and the ones we have in our area not a problem getting close to them at all. In fact they are in too close at times, and we are talking 20 feet and closer at times. I have heard that in certain places that they are skittish, but not here.

Dennis, the colors on the wood ducks always look so striking and perfect that they might be fake--except they're not! These are some of the prettiest ones I have seen. We have occasional wood ducks, but ours are also very skittish. Best, Pam

Thanks Pam, I agree about the colours on these ducks, they are so nice and one thing is that I have a ton of images of them, but keep going back for more images.

Thank you for the kind words on these and too bad that they are skittish in some areas as they are so nice to see up and close, like we do here and maybe that is do to a lot of people being around and they are used to that.

Thanks Bob, and thanks for the comments on these, and I knew it was a Mallard, but the colours of the wood ducks kept coming up.
