I am travelling back to the USA via Singapore and was wondering if I am better off to buy lenses in Singapore or wait until I come through the USA?

Anybody with experience of buying (suggested retailers etc) for Singapore?

Looking at the 28 - 135 IS and the 70 - 300 IS (new release)

Thanks
Bevan

Welcome to D/grin Ozrockrat. I went through a lot of price checking with buying in asia or the US for 2 x L lenses & another & the US was by far cheaper for me at the time.

    Thanks mate.

I suspected that would be the case as Singapore is not the bargain it was 10 years ago. (remember the 3.2 sing to 1 AUD). Looks like I will hit my local dealer in Denver to see if they will pricematch online and go from there.

I even bought grey market L lenses (few bob cheaper) & sent my 400mm away to be repaired the other day & canon in brisbane didnt blink an eye lid & said its covered by warranty.
