This is my second set of twins in a week. Something in the water!

More on the blog.

They had these bitty "stork bites" over their noses which was the only way the parents could tell them apart. The one born first had one and the one born second had two. They asked me to edit them out so I had to be very careful about IDing them prior. LOL.

What a lovely pose! Did that happen naturally, or was there a bit of help from the photographer?

Nope, totally natural! There were some where they were actually holding hands but their little faces were goofy.

eta: we set them up laying down next to each other and I put the arm behind the head so it wouldn't flail. The hands/heads are natural.

So cute! We just had a baby and I'm starting to look at baby shots and take my own. :) Any concerns with flash photography and newborns? Looks like you were using studio lights with this session?

I used two speedlights. One on my camera and one on a stand behind an umbrella. The twins were not thrilled with the lights but as long as the family is okay and it's not imposing, I use them. I bounced the one on my camera. There was great natural light so I stopped them down -3.
