Kananaskis Bighorns

Took a trip up to the Kananaskis in the mountains yesterday. Found six male bighorns together. Still a lot of snow and the lakes are frozen over but the roads are dry. These characters were licking the salt off the side of the road.

    Thanks Pam.. I have another pic of the ram with his tongue fully extended. Looks like he's giving me the raspberry.

    Nice portraits of impressive bighorns. Their desert equivalents here in Southern California don't have that heft. --- John
