Mood lighting

I was going through some shots I took a few weeks ago and these two struck me. They were taken within a couple of minutes of each other, from roughly the same location. I thought it was striking the difference in the mood between them,

These are very intriguing photos. My favorite is the first. I would make one small suggestion -- either frame it so that the bottom of the image is closer to the horizon or -- if there is something in the foreground that you want to be seen -- use a GND to let the foreground have a bit of visibility to it. FWIW
