promoting products

Hi im trying to take my website of the ground and i was thinking to promoted products like photo books,greeting cards,announcements cards ,canvas etc

but not sure whats is the best way to do it?.

grab photos of the products and write a description of them in a webpage?

or is there another way to promote those products in your website?
