Last show of the year; Agatha Christie's Witness for the Prosecution

Not a huge fan of most of these, show is very dialogue driven but makes for boring photos haha. The entire show was done in a greyscale, no color at all.

Great shots as usual. I have to smile, though - even if I didn't know you were a video go I think I'd suspect since soooo many of your comps look like camera angles in the TV/Film sense!!!! rolleyes1.gif (1 and 13 in particular jumped out at me in that regard :D)

You've done an excellent job here. I will say that with shows like this (and believe me, plenty of operas get into this kind of static thing!), I go for closeup expressions of individs rather than trying to set the whole (nothing happening) scene. It reeealllly helps to know the "money moments" either through knowing the piece, or having at least seen a runthru so that you can capitalize on those moments of drama/activity even if they're few and far between.

    haha thanks!

That was my biggest problem for this one, not knowing the show. I hadn't had time to make it to a dress rehearsal before-hand so I was kind of flying blind.

So glad I got the 5D this year though, my 40D would have never been able to keep up with the low light of the shows this year.

I like these shots a lot. Always really feels like you are there at a play and not just some flat headshots :-)
