Nature Walk, 5-7-11

Checked out a park near where our new house is. Pretty nice, great photo ops. Here are 6 from the walk, all with the E-620 and my 50mm f/2.0.

    Well, I was a little disappointed with #6 (wished I had a better crop), so I went through the shots from yesterday again. Everything was too close to the edge of the water to get the angle I wanted with the reflection, without capturing the grass and dirt at the edge. I found a shot that had the angle I wanted, but had the greenery, so I had some fun with the clone and healing stamps in LR3.

    I'm a little happier with this variation:

    I really like #2, I like the very stark contrast in it and the needle-like shape of the grass makes it look kind of like an abstract painting. I agree, the re-do of #6 is better than the original getting the whole reflection in the frame.
    #1 I'm not really a fan of though, not enough going on.

    I like the rework of number 6, the color float is an eye grabber and the complete reflection makes it all work.
