How do you have your camera purchases shipped?

Last week I ordered a camera from BH and choose 2 day UPS shipping since I wanted to receive the camera before the weekend. Well the camera shipped on Friday but missed the delivery, and was reschduled for Monday. I work and go to school so I wouldn't be a home and had UPS delivery to my work instead.

I was wondering if most people have expensive camera purchases sent to their work or home? I find that small items under $100 are fine to leave at the front door but I didn't like the idea of UPS leaving a $500 camera on my porch.

Everything comes to work. No better way to keep all those purchases from my wife ;)

JK. It's like having a personal secretary (which I don't). I like getting stuff at work, no worries about signing for it.

I work 5 minutes from the ups hub here. So I call the day before and have it held so I can pick it up in the morning or after work.

Have it shipped to work. That way I don't have to worry about missing the delivery :)

In the past I have been lucky to have the deliveries sent to my parents home, usually someone is home there. I'm going to use the suggestions and have my future purchases sent to work, just going to add the address to my credit card.

    Thanks,

I would have guessed Andy cuts out the middle man and has his gear shipped from Canon Japan. :D
